This morning I received an email from the Teachers for Global Classrooms Program. I'm going to Louga!
Louga is the 10th largest city in Senegal, home to about 80,000 inhabitants.
My host teacher is Mansour Sy, an English teacher at Lycée Malick Sall, and my travel companion from the program is Michelle, a Spanish teacher from Connecticut.
We will be traveling from Dakar, Senegal's capital, to Louga on April 21 and staying until April 28. Look for more updates on planning here!
I would love ideas for lesson plans, places to stay, and what to see. Leave your comments please!!
